Professor Julia Connell


Professor Julia Connell is currently Assistant Dean, Research Training, Faculty of Business and Law, University of Newcastle and Visiting Professor, Graduate School of Research, University of Technology, Sydney. In 2017 she was the Research Development Advisor, for Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar, Indonesia as part of a DFAT supported project. Prior to that she was: Director, Researcher Development, Graduate Research School, UTS; Associate Dean PG Business, UTS; Professor and Cluster Director, Curtin University; Dean of Graduate Studies, ACU and Associate Dean International, University of Newcastle among other roles. Julia has published over 100 refereed journal articles/book chapters, co-edited 16 special issue journal volumes and co-edited 7 books with number 8 in progress – Fourth Industrial Evolution in the Asia Pacific Region: What is the Future for Work and Workers?, for Routledge: London. Many publications have focused on employment related issues, change/people development, industry organisational effectiveness, vulnerable workers/precarious jobs and also issues related to higher education. She has taught various programs in 11 different countries and lived in 4. Julia has consulted for a number of different public (local government) and private sector organisations, has been an invited expert for the ILO and an invited keynote conference speaker on 9 occasions to date in 6 different countries. Julia has worked on a number of funded research projects, including the Quality of Work project for the Australian Workplace & Productivity Agency (where she was project leader).



Dr. Marina J Kaneti


Dr. Marina Kaneti is an Assistant Professor in International Relations at the National University of Singapore. Her research and teaching focus on questions of migration, global governance, human rights, and sustainable development. Dr. Kaneti has given talks and published extensively on questions of migration, sustainable development, and human rights. In addition to her research and teaching, Dr. Kaneti provides consulting services for NGOs on theory of change, multistakehloder partnerships, sustainable development, and human rights. Dr. Kaneti completed her BA and MS degrees at Columbia University, New York, USA. She holds a PhD in Political Science from the New School for Social Research, New York, USA. Prior to her academic career, Dr. Kaneti worked as a program manager for the United Nations Development Programme and as equity trader on Wall Street.




Dr. Avinash Pawar


Dr. Avinash is an Associate Professor of Management with more than 13 years of academic, teaching and research experience across multiple disciplines of management. He has completed PhD in Management, MBA in HR, Marketing, Operations and IT and engineering in computer science from university of pune. Dr. Avinash is an accredited management teacher and holds various certifications in Six Sigma, Project Management, Reliability Management, Business Intelligence, Quality Management, Counselling Psychology and HR Analytics from reputed institutions. He is an active researcher with more 30 research papers publications in reputed international and national conferences and journals. He is also working with universities from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Ukraine for teaching and research. He has also been awarded with “Best Teacher Award in Management”, “Outstanding Management Teacher” and “Global Management Teacher Award” by reputed organizations. Dr. Avinash is a lifelong learner, enthusiastic educator, passionate researcher, trainer and all-around Academician having a wide range of scholarly interests with an interdisciplinary approach towards teaching learning in management.



Dr. Abdelrahman Ali


Dr. Abdelrahman Ali is currently a Communication and Media expert at one of the Arabian diplomatic missions in Jakarta, and Part-time lecturer at the Post Graduate Program of the London school of Public Relations- Jakarta (LSPR). Dr. Ali has professional experience of 17 years as communication and media officer. Since 2012, He also provides consulting services for NGOs and civil society in East Eljazeera Province- Sudan on communication for development and social change, designing communication plans, and improving communication skills. This consulting service includes holding workshops and providing training for volunteers and social workers in East Eljazeera Province- Sudan. His teaching focuses on mass communication, crisis communication, and international media studies. Meanwhile, his research interests are on mass media, political communication, and corporate communication. Dr. Ali holds PhD and Master Degree in Communication Science.
